Bought for my a birthday of a 5 year old. They loved them. They work as described completely. Look forward to ordering more to build a collection
These Minecraft styled magnetic blocks are very nice quality, decent weight, and stick together nicer than other similar magnetic toys I have bought for my toddler. My toddler in particular gets VERY frustrated with certain toys because they require her to be very gentle when playing with them (To not just knock everything over and it falls apart) and she is not a very gentle child. She is still able to accidently collapse them, but not as often and easily as with other toys. If you want the blocks to float (For example like with the tree) they will be -- unsurprisingly -- a little fragile in falling off. However, I was expecting them to be much more fragile considering I have experience with these kinds of toys. So they are the best I have seen yet at least. Might just be the nature of these toys. One down side is, as I also expected, quantity. Do not look at the product images and think THAT is what you are buying. The amount of blocks in the images are probably around 2 or 3 sets of these -- maybe 4 for some photos. 100pcs sounds like a lot, but if you consider you want to lay a foundation of blocks to build on top of (My image for example shows a 9x6 ground which is around 54 blocks just for the ground.) You're left with much less to build with once you're done. Around half. Not to mention that's also if you don't want just one block (e.g., grass) as a ground level. You would probably need about 5 sets to achieve something like that. Even so, I am not surprised. I mean these are MINECRAFT blocks, you are going to be expecting to pay a little premium given the name-brand and popularity of it. What I would recommend to someone who has a kid who loves Minecraft but is on a budget is that you can get other cheaper sets to then compliment this set. In my last photo I have an example. In anticipation of this, I bought alongside this an additional 108pc set of just plain colored blocks. I got those for about half the price of this set. I plan for my kid to use those to lay out foundations, and to use as some filler blocks. So you don't have to waste the quality Minecraft blocks for support or structures not intended to be appreciated. If you do this though, make sure you get 1" blocks. Not 1.45" or the like, but 1". As those are what compliment this set the most since this Minecraft set is 1" blocks. Otherwise you may end up having blocks that don't line up nicely. Overall, I am satisfied with the product, and my complaints I do have were not unexpected nor atypical for buying name-brand toys and products.
I have 7 kids, ages 14 to baby, and they all love these blocks. I'm already planning on getting other sets to add to our "collection". I am careful with magnets and an infant, but I honestly don't see how the magnets would dislodge and the pieces would be hard to swallow (though not impossible). These blocks are very well made and a fun toy
I bought both my son & grandson these magnet blocks. My son, grandson, and granddaughters all love to play for hours. Great purchase.. These are definitely a toy for boys and girls. Fun for everyone. I even enjoy playing with them myself.. The magnet blocks come in different styles, and they do come in plain colors. My only issue is the PRICE I wish they were a little cheaper because you need a lot in order to be able to build something decent or do you have enough to play with others.. I bought my son 2 packs of 100 and 1 pack of 120…I’m planning to buy more cause the kids love them so much.. Worth every penny, quality is good.. Just wish they were cheaper .
I bought two sets of these. One set first that did not say, and even seemed to go out of their way not to say how many were in the set [48 as it happens]. A small box, though I think they call it introductory somewhere. No, that is not enough though and I found that deceptive. But when I got them, I loved them so I bought this bigger set that had 100 pieces. So now I have enough for my grandkids to share. If I get a windfall, I might buy the Frozen set too, but I'm good for now. I buy Brio and Thomas train and legos too, so I know some things just cost a lot. These also will last a long time, like legos and our trains, you can pass them down from kid to kid. I can keep them on a shelf for my grandkids and any other kid that comes around, and to play with now and again myself. I love the rattle sound and the feel of the clack as each pulls together. I think they stick together decently well and I was able to build a tree with pieces at an angle as well as the basic side to side. I think these would be great for kids or adults that like sensory amusements. Nice to run your finger across, kinda has a fuzzy slightly lifted feel. It is a plastic texture but feels good, and is well built. To save you trouble, I read lots of reviews and these and the one's with TNT pattern are not the same size. I did have a hard time deciding because I loved the flower pattern on the others but went with bigger. I have a young grandson and thought bigger would be better. They are still pretty small though, so do keep that in mind if you have very little ones. Almost but not quite one inch per side.
