SMELL: As with all foam or pillow items, this one is shipped compressed. There is a light smell but it's not bad. I let this air out several days before using it and washed the cover. There's no smell at all after the first day. FIRMNESS: Firm, much firmer than a typical memory foam pillow. This works great for me but some people may prefer a softer pillow. CONTOUR: I roll around a lot in my sleep and the weird shape makes it comfortable from any back or side position, it's a little tall even without the insert for stomach sleeping. OVERALL: I like this firm weird looking pillow; it gives me a better nights sleep.

I’ve only used this for one night and I can already tell what a difference this is going to make! First off it’s cooling. For those of us who sweat at night - you know how important this is. Secondly, it moves with you as you move. I am a constant turner in my sleep from side to back to side. I never had to readjust the pillow. The dip for my head made it so easy for me to just roll. I also woke up for the first time with no stiffness in my neck or head. I really feel like this could be a huge game changer for me.

I broke down and order this pillow after having neck pain for weeks. You know, when you sleep wrong and can't turn your head to the side neck pain. There is a breaking in period for the pillow, but my neck felt better after the first night. The pillow comes a little firm but it will soften up after about a week or two. Trust me, just tough it out. I've had it for a few months now and no longer have shoulder pain or neck pain when I wake up. The arm indents are amazing. I thought they were silly at first but I they work. I haven't woken up with a numb arm in months. I also recommend pairing it with a wedge pillow. Absolutely the ultimate sleep system and comfort. This pillow is so good that I got my husband one when he started to have neck pain after sleeping. He loves it too.

I got this to help with my neck pain and not only did it help with that, but I fall asleep quicker, I feel more rested, I stay asleep almost all night, and it’s helped resolve some general back pain. Would definitely buy again.

I’ve been using the Donama pillow for about 3 months. I appreciate how soft the fabric is and it’s ability to keep my neck aligned while I sleep. I’m a stomach and side sleeper. With this pillow, I no longer wake up stressed out with a crook in my neck and back. I love how my head is contoured to fall into the pillow comfortably and completely. I have a another pillow shaped similarly but the Donama is BETTER! When my friends sleepover they fight over who is user the other pillow vs the Donama.
